Protecting ears, on and off the job
Our surveys show that over 60% of industrial users of Hocks Noise Brakers® wear them home while operating chain saws, lawn mowers, tillers, shop equipment, boats, cars, motorcycles, aircraft, snowmobiles, shooting and many other off the job pursuits. Many workmen are exposed to more noise off the job than on. This is important to industry because if employees are working in a noisy area, they can only be required to wear ear defense while on the job. Unless they are satisfied with the ear protection, they won't wear them off the job and any loss will accrue to the employer's liability. Compensation awarded to employees for hearing loss and tinnitus due to noise exposure is growing at an alarming rate.
Where to get the Hocks Noise Braker®
Custom made Noise Brakers require individual impressions of the ear. This can be accomplished by a local Audiologist or Hearing Aid Dispenser. They can then send your impressions to a laboratory or us for completion. Look under "Hearing Aids" in the Yellow Pages or search our Authorized Audiologist List for Companies for a dealer near you. Almost all cities have Hearing Professionals who distribute the Noise Braker.
